CursorMiami:ShipNight

Build. Ship. Celebrate.

It's time. We're throwing a ship night, and the only thing missing is you. No degree, no team, no idea required. We hand you the tools, pair you up, and by the time the clock hits 10:00 you'll have shipped something real.

Final submissions

Hard cutoff via the platform. Whatever is submitted by 9:30 is what judges see.

10:00 – 10:30pm

Finalist presentations

Top finalists announced, then 3 minutes each. Live products only — no slides.

10:30 – 11:00pm

Winners

Winning team announced on stage. Photos. Close.

Bring your laptop and charger. Pick your objective early — then spend the rest of the night making it real.

How the Judging Works

Two hard deadlines: lock your PRD at 6:30, submit the full project at 9:30. Then top 6 finalists pitch live.

1

Lock your mission

6:30 PM

After kickoff at 5:00, every team submits a public PDF or Markdown (.md) PRD link in the platform by 6:30. Once it's in, your objective is locked for the night.

  • Submit a public PDF or Markdown (.md) PRD link in the platform by 6:30 PM. You can cut features later, but you can't add new ones.
  • Judges score what you shipped against what you promised in the PRD — so write a mission you can actually demo.
  • Pick your objective early, then spend the rest of the night making it real.
2

Final project submission

9:30 PM

Hard cutoff in the platform. By 9:30 your entire code project must be submitted — everything below included — so judges know exactly what to review.

  • 1Public GitHub repo — set the repository to public so the automated check and judges can read it.
  • 2PRD already locked at 6:30 — still present in the platform / repo so judges can compare promise vs. shipped.
  • 3.cursorrules (or equivalent AI rules file) committed in the public repo.
  • 4Hosted public URL — anyone can open it in a browser, no login required. Submit it on the dashboard.
  • 5Working app that matches your PRD — a real, deployed product solving a recognizable problem.
  • 6Short writeup / README — what you built, how you built it, what's next.
  • 7Submit the full project in the platform by 9:30 PM. Whatever is in by then is what judges see — no extensions.
3

The Judge Finals

10:00 – 10:30

We pick the top 6 finalists from everything submitted by 9:30. Each gets 3 minutes on the main stage — live product only, no slides.

  • Top 6 finalists are announced, then each team gets exactly 3 minutes to show their app and explain what it does.
  • Live products only. No slide decks — demo what you shipped against your locked PRD.
  • Judges score each pitch in the app on Delivery, Clarity of the idea, and Impact. Scores land instantly.
4

Winners

10:30 – 11:00

Winning team announced on stage. Photos. Close.

  • $10,000 from Superteam USA awarded to one winning team.
  • Late or incomplete 9:30 submissions hurt your chance to make the top 6 — ship early.

What to Submit

PRD due 6:30 PM · final submission hard cutoff 9:30 PM

Required

Product Requirements Document (PRD)

Submit a public PDF or Markdown (.md) link in the platform by 6:30 PM. Locks your mission for the night — judges score against what you promised.

Public GitHub Repo

Set your project's GitHub repository to public so the automated check and judges can read it.

Hosted Public URL

Anyone can open the URL in a browser, no login required.

Working App

A real, deployed application that solves a recognizable problem.

AI Rules File

.cursorrules (or equivalent) in your public repo — shows how you used AI tools during the build.

Short Writeup

Brief README: what you built, how you built it, what's next.

Bonus Points

Submit Early

Earliest submission wins ties, so don't wait until 8:59pm

Tip: Deploy early. A working URL at 7:30pm beats a broken one at 9:29pm. And keep that GitHub repo public.
